The most dynamic pace of creative industries development is in Moscow, where 1.5% of the world's creators work - this data is given by Anastasia Rybkina, Deputy Director General for Infrastructural and Financial Support of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Creative Industries Agency”. She notes that it is in Moscow that the revenue volume is increasing at the highest rate, and the number of companies in priority areas - cinema, video games, design, fashion - is growing. However, the adopted law applies not only to these spheres and not only to Moscow. As Vitaly Stavitsky, president of the Russian Designers' Union, noted, the new document gives a big role to the regions. In the first half of 2024 in Russia, the volume of tourist flow within the country increased by 9.35%. In such conditions, the development of creative industries becomes especially relevant in the regions, where competition for tourists will only grow every year.
“There is a role of the Federation, but there is no role of municipalities, and creative industries are developed one way or another in cities, and it is most often a small business that is closely connected with the local government and depends on it,” Stavitsky noted. In such conditions it is necessary to develop the market in the digital space, to protect the rights of users with the comprehensive interaction of departments, institutions, specialized communities and business. This is what the new law is aimed at.
