(In response to a question about the law on creative industries - editor's note) Laws are always needed as a point that defines what we do, sets some boundaries, where we start, where we guarantee that it is, in general, part of the economy, that it is very healthy. About the share of the creative industries - it is calculated relatively accurately, but in design, as in other creative industries, there is a gray market segment that we have yet to calculate. I think we will have that figure much more optimistic in the near future. This is a lot of work that will be done by the community, public organizations, and representatives of federal and municipal government agencies.
And we are very grateful that we have been involved in this issue. A huge amount of work has been done. But probably a Russian law on design, it is definitely not needed. There were a lot of opinions. We are developing ourselves, and it will only get better.
I would like to continue a few thoughts that colleagues have already asked.
First of all, thank you very much for the interest in design, it is a very important strategic moment, because against the backdrop of the economic war, it is very difficult for me to call what is happening now in any other way, it has played to our advantage. Because we have returned from the era of consumption to the era of creation. We had such a chance in the 90s, but we chose an easier path.
Today we are not given such a choice, there is no opportunity to choose something simpler and go with the flow. Today, the specialists we trained perfectly well are coming back, but because there was no work, they worked somewhere else. Today they are coming back because they have always been patriots, they loved their homeland.
But as creative people, creating interesting solutions, there were just opportunities there. It was our fault that we did not give them these opportunities with our maneuvers. I see that very reason to come back, and to really work for the homeland, and to close those issues that we just now have turned off.
It is important to realize that we have long lived in the paradigm of Western trends, Western opinion, and Western products. Today, after 2022, we are beginning to reorganize these issues for ourselves. We are beginning to be the people who set these trends. They are becoming global. Against the backdrop of the dislike of a number of countries for Russia, we are forming the opposite brand, on the contrary, a fashion for Russian, for Russian, for interest in the country. We are seeing an incredible surge in tourism, at least in Moscow it is very clear. We are not much different from St. Petersburg now. Crowds, crowds of foreigners. Trends are emerging that we should have had a long time ago - the love for Russia, the fact that we should have turned long ago to giant markets that do not compare in any way with the ones we used to work with. This is a huge experience. If we find our niche there, we will be simply invincible. And one of the main trends is, of course, management in the creative industries. It is an important point, because the projects that we are doing today, creating, they need to be managed, managed in a qualitative and, again, creative way.
