Speaker of the Congress and member of the competition jury – Alexei Olegovich Komov

Alexei Olegovich Komov (born 28 April 1975, Moscow) is a Russian architect.

Son of sculptor Oleg Komov.

Graduated from the Moscow Academy of Architecture and Architecture. In 2000-2010 worked in the architectural bureau "AM" under the direction of Fyodor Rozhnev, dealing, in particular, with interiors of private houses. Since 2009 he has been running his own architectural studio.

In 2013 he was one of the organisers of the exposition and research project "Kurortograd", dedicated to the Soviet resort architecture of Yevpatoria. In early 2015 he was appointed chief architect of Yevpatoria, in September he resigned for family reasons, retaining the position of advisor to the head of the administration of Yevpatoria on architectural policy.

In 2019, he was approved for the position of chief architect of Kaluga in the rank of deputy mayor.

Two years later, he received the Centaur badge of honour from the Council of Chief Architects of the Subjects of the Russian Federation - according to Komov, the meaning of this award is that the chief architect of the region - "an official among architects and an architect among officials - works at the intersection of architecture proper and state and municipal administration".

In 2021, he was appointed curator of the Zodchestvo architectural festival on a competitive basis. In 2022, he supervised the architectural festival Perspektiva in Kaluga, which for the second time in its history is not held in Moscow.

In 2022, Alexey Olegovich for the second time became the curator of the jubilee International Architectural Festival Zodchestvo, the theme of which was "Reflection".
