And this is very important to understand, so my message here at this wonderful forum, here at the leading construction university of our country, is that please develop your industry, your sphere, because in my personal opinion - and I am a civil engineer by basic education - I am convinced that urbanism, architecture, design and decoration of spaces both inside and outside or construction of urban environment, has a colossal importance and impact on the quality of life of citizens.
As a deputy of the State Duma, a politician, I often communicate with my constituents, and this has a colossal electoral capacity for us, that is why, including our party is engaged in the implementation of projects related to the improvement of the urban environment. And today in our country we have a unique opportunity. Completely new spaces are being laid in our country, in fact, either new districts or new cities are being built, such as Tsiolkovsky or a new district in Vladivostok, where many people have just returned from the Eastern Economic Forum, where tens of thousands of citizens will live. In fact, the creation of new spaces will be formed right in the field. Communications will be brought in, and the next thing is actually your exit. And for me, it will be very sad if you and I get banal solutions that are classic in such a broad sense of the word.
I would like these solutions to be extremely comfortable, unique in their kind. And all the more so, our country has land resources and areas. We can afford to create something on a grand scale. That is why I believe that the sphere of architecture and design is very promising and very important today.
I believe that creative industries, creative economy create the aesthetics of every citizen's perception. And today, especially younger guys, younger people know that this is very much in demand. A cozy cafe, a beautiful public garden.
I don't know, a beautiful phone or a car, I mean it should all be so, in quotes, delicious, right? It should be pleasing to the eye. There is a big very big demand for this, which means that if these solutions are there, they increase the competitiveness, the demand for these or those solutions, for these or those goods.
And in conclusion, I would like to say that today we live and work under the most powerful sanctions pressure and such an uncompetitive struggle. And last time I, for example, here (at the site of ICM ARCH 2024 - MSCU. Editor's note), at the invitation of the rector, visited several centers that are located at the university, which provide solutions for wind loads, yes, development and problem solving for other structures. I was very impressed by this. It is great that we are able to solve such problems.
So, I believe that today is a great moment to prove yourself both within the country and far beyond its borders. And since a creative product is based on the results of intellectual activity, actually added value, these products can easily be cross-border and not depend on external pressure and influence.
We, building today new solutions of the multipolar world and actually united with the world majority, with the countries that today belong to the developing countries, have promising opportunities for the realization of the most powerful joint projects. And, by the way, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, who was just at the Eastern Economic Forum, once again confirmed this. And I am very pleased that we have such a topical panel, where a wonderful representative of Malaysia is participating in the discussion with us today. Thank you.
